The term Journeyman is used to describe a craftsman who has completed a traditional apprenticeship of between 5/7 years and is now ready to travel between workshops to earn enough capital for the development of their own studio becoming a master of their craft.

Journeyman Furniture is an established business formed in 1996. Specialsing in the design and manufacture of hand crafted bespoke furniture. They produce free standing pieces, fitted furniture, specialised joinery and commercial projects, from complete rooms to individual commissions.

With creativity and capability interior design concepts are turned into a reality using predominantly sustainable native hardwoods, manfactured board, wood veneers and incorporating othe media as required.

The in-house design service uses the latest technology to deliver fast and accurate drawings to the client's specifications. Attention to detail is key to every indivdual project, each of which is completed using the extensive knowledge of the craftsman.

In gaining their experience they have been invloved in projects for various prestigious clients including David Linley, English Heritage, Liberty, St Andrews and the Guardian visitor center. They exhibit regularly at shows and galleries across the country and Journeyman is a member of the Cornwall Crafts Association.
